fillin' eggs

After we laid the Albo down tonight the Easter Bunny came and kindly asked

Bryan and I to help him fill eggs for an Easter Egg hunt we are having on Saturday..

Of course, we couldn't say no ;)

So here we are! Stuffing eggs with candy and toys for the littles

coming over on Saturday!

Easter is one of my most favorite holidays :) My mom always made

it special for me. She always made me an extra special Easter Basket and I had so much fun as a kid going to my mamaw's house to find eggs.

I want to make it just a special for our baby.

lil' girls and lipstick

One of aubree's many new obsessions is lipstick. Any color, any brand, any finish... you get it, right?! The girl loves lipstick.

Sunday morning she was "playing" in her room while mommy was cleaning the kitchen.

Several minutes had gone by and I hadn't heard her make a peep.

Not asking me what i was doing, not singing to herself, or talking to her elmo and her baby dolls. So, I knew something was up!

Walk around the corner into her room and wa~la!

This is what i find.......

Notice the stripe of lipstick across her forehead? I can explain..

We have a forehead thermometer that you run across your head to check you temperature.

I had checked her temp earlier that morning.

When I walked in her room she was rubbing the lipstick back and forth across her head telling me with such seriousness,

MOMMY! I checkin my temperature!

These are the simple joys and moments that we live for :)

arrington vineyards

So, I finally got to visit a place i've wanted to go to for a long time.

While my family was down we were trying to figure out something to do that is a "local" attraction. It dawned on me!! Ah~ha, Arrington Vineyards!

We made a day of it! We packed a picnic lunch took our blanket and headed to the vineyards :)

we had our picnic. it's all hillside and there isn't a bad view in

the whole place.

bryan always called maranda burnice matice when she was a little

girl. she looked like the little girl off of hope floats. anyway,

the name has stuck and now aubree is calling her burnice too, funny!

my cousin maranda and her hubby josh came down and visited us for the weekend. we had a ball! the days went by so fast!

we took them to toots for lunch on saturday. a local family restaurant where you can get the absolute best fried pickles in the world!

we all had something we loved :)

albo's new favorite hobby, taking off daddy's nose. what's so funny, is that his nose is SUPER sensitive and he cant stand for it to be touched. which for my makes it even more funny! sounds mean, i know, but the faces he makes and soooo funny! anyone would laugh :)

you've got mail

we came home from daycare today and low and behold there was a package sitting at our front door, with miss aubree's name written all over it.

she ask "mommy, is that mine?" with such cute excitement.

we brought it inside and she wasted no time. she was ready to get down to business and get that box open!

it was package from our maw and paw :)

ripping the tape off!!!

she loves loves loves getting mail! i love watching her get something.

she feels so proud and loved.

she got a bag full of goodies. a bunny, some cookies, m`n`m's, some money and a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings!

now the challenge was going to be convincing her to let me change out her earrings. they hadn't been changed since we got her ears pierced.

saying it was a challenge would be an understatement. i tried to do it alone. she sat stiff held both hands up to her ears and told me NO!

so..

we called in reinforcements, daddy :)

he held her while i did the horrible swap.

the end result is beautiful. i've always wanted her to have a pair of pearls like mommy :)

We're Best Friends

It has been AWHILE since i updated. We have had some pretty sad things happen for us lately, so, i haven't had much to say.

anyway..

Here is a recent picture of the girls. Bryan picked them up from daycare the other day and let them play outside :)

Getting so big, aren't they?!

They are our mini people :)

They still love each other as much as they always have, so sweet.

While they were on a two week separation from each other for spring break and us being out of town. Aubree would frequently remind me how much she missed Reagan.

aubree got a package in the mail a few days ago from our aunt susie and uncle teddy.

it was for valentines day with a little something special!

they sent her a love note with 2o dollars inside!

this adorable hat that one of susie's friends makes was in the package too :)

susie said she makes several different styles.

happy heart day from maw and paw

albo got a card in the mail from our maw and paw for valentine's day.

getting any piece of mail truly makes her day!

she loves it!

it made her feel extra special that there was twenty dollars inside!

she said look mommy! i said albo, its paper money :)

she said "im ready go shoppin mommy!"

i ask, what do you want to buy? her response, uuummm.....

pa~corn and more money, lol.

When we got home from work/daycare today we seen we had a package at the front door. i looked at the shipping label and seen it was for albo. i said aubree you got a surprise from papaw and faye!! she got that "excited" look on her face. she sat it on her table and said mommy, open this!!

she was gasping and making the cutest faces.

she carried it off to her room and sat it on the floor, took it out of the box, and we looked around her room for her to sit it..
