our outting in the blazin' sun

We fought it but we could not stay inside the house today. We are a

couple girls that like to be on the go!

We met up with our friend Erin for lunch and had some good "girl talk"

then albo and mommy headed off to run some errands and do a lil' shopping.

I let her take her shopping buggy that Aunt Susie and Uncle Teddy got her for Christmas this past year. She had everyones attention. It was the cutest thing. She strapped her baby in the top and carried her mini vera bradley purse! She took it in Bed Bath and Beyond, Gymboree, Victorias Secret where they fell in love with her! They gave her one of those stuffed PINK dogs and a gift card, which Aubree is convinced is a credit card and she can make purchases with.

Then we ventured on to Food Lion to do our grocery shopping. She told me she was taking her card in to buy cereal!

I let her put a few things in her buggy. Of course she picked cereal, pizza rolls, hamburger meat (awkward), shredded cheese, and a can of green beans.

She put her groceries up on the belt and handed the lady her Victorias Secret gift card to pay! It was too funny!

After we came home and put our groceries up i took her out for a cold treat. We have this new place in town called Sweet Ce Ce's. Its a frozen yogurt place buffet style!

You get your on yogurt and pick out what you want to throw on top. They have about 50 different things to pick from.

Aubree picked bubble gum flavored yogurt, yuck! but she loved it. She threw sprinkles, sour worms, skittles, whip cream, and 1 cherry on top!

we had a great day together! love my baby girl :)

we're pottying!!!

Aubree is goin' in the potty!! She has been fighting Bryan an I tooth and nail about using a big girl potty. She was saying "no, i'm mommy's baby", " i wanna wear my diaper!", and " i don't wanna be a big girl".

She had even gone as far as finding a hidden diaper, pulling off her panties, and attempting to put it on herself, i'm not joking!

but what did it take.....

After she went to east tennessee for a week and returned to daycare she was still resistant of doin the potty thing. She even snook Reagan off to another room at Sarah's and was taking her out of her panties and putting a diaper on her. She covered her in baby powders and sarah's floor too :-/ sorry sarah..

anyway, the second day after Reagan pee peed at Sarah's and everyone was clapping and praising her and making a really big deal out of it, Aubree decided if everyone got that excited over peeing in the potty it must not be so bad. She told sarah she needed to go and she has been doing great!

We've had a few accidents and i know there will be many more but we are making progress!

Miss Aubree is doing so good and i feel so proud :)

O, and yes she really does sit and watch elmo videos during!

here poppy and mom go again, spoiling aubree! she is all the time getting something in the mail form them! i use to get all the goodies ;)

aubree is her name flip flops are her game!

my kid has a huge obsession with flip flops to say the least.

a few weeks back aubree was talking to mom on the phone. she ask aubree what she wanted her to buy her. aubree said without hesitating flip flops!

so mom gave her the money and we went off to gymboree to pick some out. she would not let me give her my opinion on which ones i thought she should get. she zoned in on this one special pair and no others would do. she NEVER takes them off! i have to let her wear them in the car and have her change them right before we go into the store.

she even sleeps in them, no joke!

this cracked me up. she put a pair of bryan's socks on, which came all the way to her knees. then put them on the opposite feet.

it looks like summer!

we were stuck inside most of the weekend beacuse aubree was very sick, so bryan and i did a lot of much needed work around our house.

i planted all these pretty flowers, hopefully i won't kill em'.

i dont have much of a green thumb like my mamaw does :-/

i got the cooking trade, not the gardening one!

anyway, our backyard is ready for summer!

gonna enjoy our patio and lots of cookouts this year :)

murfreesboro farmers market

murfreesboro has a saturday market from the first week of june that runs through september.

local farmers, bakers, and gardeners come out and set up booths of things they grow etc....

there were soooo many things to pick from.

they had everything from homemade breads, pies, cakes, jams to fresh cut flower bouquets and hanging baskets to any veggie you could think of!

my bestie katie and i woke up first thing sat morning while our families were still in bed and headed out to see what we could find :)

i came home with a hydrangea bouquet, peaches, apple butter, porkrinds, red potatoes, fresh garlic, home made wheat bread, romaine lettuce, radishes, carrots, onions, and cucumbers!

yum~yum!

can't wait to go back :)

memorial day 11'

we decided last minute to throw a memorial day cook~out together.

we had over the gregory's and the ballard's.

two of my most favorite couples :)

we had huge amounts of yummy food and a fun time playing with our girls!

today has been an especially hard day for bryan. it's his first mother's day without his mom. how very very heartbreaking. i could never imagine or begin to understand the hurt that he feels.

katie was very special, giving of herself, and thoughtful lady.

she is greatly missed by those who knew her best.

we had an eventful day planned. we went out with our friends katie and doug and their baby olivia.

we had brunch at a local cafe, goodness gracious!

we had never been before and katie and i wanted something we'd never had. we made a great choice! it was so yummy!

we came home done some house cleaning and our neighbors had us over for a cookout!

wish it could've been spent with my mama, but we were in each others heart :)

mommy and aubree's new ride!

i am bound and determined to shed 13 pounds before we go on vacation the end of august. so to help me on my quest i ask for a bike for mothers day. hubby bought me one today, so when i got home from work miss aubree was so anxious to ride. she calls it a bickle~cycle. its the cutest thing! i ask her to say it all the time just so i can laugh! cracks me up.

bryan took a few snap shots of us while we were riding together. she had a ball. she'd tell me to go fast mommy! and she'd say wee! around the curves! we rode for almost 3 miles tonight. hopefully my legs wont be too tired to hop back on tomorrow :)
